1. Can I return items from the Japonisme Collection or made-to-order items?
Unfortunately, the Japonisme Collection, custom products, and made-to-order items cannot be returned or exchanged due to their bespoke nature. However, if there is a defect or if size adjustments are needed, we offer complimentary repair or adjustment services. Please contact us for assistance.
2. What are the conditions for returns?
For regular items, returns are accepted if requested within 30 days of receiving the product, provided the following conditions are met:
- Tags and original packaging must be intact.
- The product must be unused and unworn.
3. How do I request a return or exchange?
To initiate a return or exchange, please contact us within a reasonable time after receiving the item via:

Once approved, you must return the item in its original condition within 30 days, following our instructions. Returns must have prior approval to be accepted.
4. Who is responsible for shipping fees?
We will cover shipping fees for returns or exchanges due to our error (e.g., incorrect delivery or defective products). For other returns, the customer is responsible for shipping. However, for orders over JPY 400,000 (or the equivalent in local currency), Chedar will cover only shipping fees.
5. How long will it take to receive my order?
- In-stock items: Shipped within 5 to 10 business days.
- Made-to-order, custom, or bespoke items: Production takes 5 to 10 weeks, with shipping completed within 5 to 10 business days after production.
6. What if I need a size adjustment or repair?
If your ring or bracelet doesn’t fit, we offer complimentary size adjustments within 30 days of purchase. If adjustments aren’t possible, we may provide alternative solutions. For defects in made-to-order items, we offer free repair services.
7. Do I have a right to cancel under EU law?
If your order is shipped to the European Union, you have the legal right to cancel or return your order within 14 days of receipt, for any reason, without justification. Items must be returned unused, with original packaging and tags, along with proof of purchase.
8. When will I receive my refund?
Once we receive and inspect your return, we’ll notify you if the refund is approved. If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method within 10 business days. Please allow additional time for your bank or credit card company to process the refund.
If more than 15 business days have passed since approval and you haven’t received your refund, contact us via email or Instagram DM.
9. Are sale items or gift cards refundable?
